CHRISTMAS BEAUTY TIPS

Now is the time that our social calendars start ramping up with a multitude of gatherings, celebrations and parties for the festive season and no doubt you’ll want to look your best! With my top Christmas beauty tips you’ll be looking gorgeous for all those photo worthy moments.

GLOW UP

Nothing says summer more than a healthy golden glow. And now that we are fully aware of how the sun can damage our skin, opt for the faux glow as our Christmas party dresses (and legs) get a real workout. If you can’t make it in salon for a professional spray tan, try Spray Aus new invisible tan mousse or face tan mist to bronze up.

COMBATING ALCOHOL AFTER-EFFECTS

Although you may enjoy sipping espresso martinis or strawberry daiquiris you skin surely doesn’t. Alcohol has a dehydrating effect on the skin which can leave it dry and dull. So if you can’t switch for a non-alcoholic option, invest in a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid and apply morning and night. I recommend the Skin Care Company B5 Hyaluronic acid.

PARTY MAKEUP

There’s no better excuse than a Christmas party to go a little bolder than usual with makeup! You can go a little more sparkly with shimmer shadows, or smoke up with a cream shadow stick such as Napoleon Luxe Lid Eye Stix available at Blush Bar. 'Tis the season to also pull out that red lipstick and get into the spirit with some glittery lipglosses slicked overtop. Just don’t forget to take a touchup in your clutch to reapply when needed.

THE PARTY PONY

The Party Pony is a great, quick, easy to do style that can take your look to the next level without all the fuss. Give your hair a quick spritz with a texture spray or dry shampoo. Part down the middle and give it a backcomb for a little bit of volume. Once you have secured the pony at the base of your neck, take one piece of the pony and wrap it around and finish with a bobby pin for a salon look at home. It’s sleek, elegant, simple and easy to do so you can fly out the door!

So whatever you get up to this silly season, try to keep everything simple. Have fun with your beauty looks, and remember your best accessory is always a relaxed smile! Enjoy!
