Makeup application is not an accredited industry so having an accreditation or Statement of Attainment is not compulsory to be able to work in the industry.
The Makeup Professionals have both worked in accredited and non-accredited training institutions. Our 6 week courses are based around a Certificate II in Makeup, but involves a more hands on practical approach with up to date techniques.
Accreditation means the course is nationally recognised and that a registered training organisation (RTO) can issue a nationally recognised qualification or statement of attainment following its full or partial completion. A statement of attainment is a list of individual units or subjects completed within a course. An accredited course means that the course or unit completed is recognised within different states or territories of Australia.
Where do we start! Firstly, you get out of the house! Secondly, whilst learning such a practical course we feel it is beneficial for you to see up close demonstrations in real life - the pressure of brush strokes, the techniques to get that perfect blend, the troubles of using the incorrect foundations on certain skin types, what they look like, seeing other students in their triumphs and trials and learning from mistakes we will are so important. Having an industry professional with you every step of the way for help and guidance in real time is imperative! We find that students find some techniques difficult at first, but with and educator to guide and support you, techniques will be mastered so much quicker. Classes are kept small to ensure everyone has one-on-one training when required. The Makeup Professionals in class demonstrations allow students to ask questions and get up close and personal to see the results.
